A fall session is also being planned for 2026 — a great way to extend the fun and keep the community together through autumn.
Location
Tahpah Park, 1490 Adams St S, Shakopee, MN 55379. The field is positioned alongside Shakopee's existing baseball and softball fields — allowing players of all abilities to share the same community sports environment.
What Is a Miracle Field?
Conventional baseball fields weren't built for wheelchairs, walkers, or sensory sensitivities. The Miracle League removes those barriers.
Rubberized Turf Surface
A cushioned, flat playing surface that's safe and accessible for wheelchairs, walkers, and all mobility levels.
Accessible Dugouts & Gates
Wheelchair-accessible throughout, so every player can get on and off the field with ease.
Buddy System
Every player is paired with a volunteer buddy who helps them bat, run the bases, and enjoy the full game experience.
Celebration, Not Competition
League play focuses on joy, inclusion, and participation. Every player bats, every player scores, and everyone wins.
Be Part of the Team
The Miracle League runs on volunteers. Whether you're a student, a parent, or a community member, there's a role for you.
Become a Buddy

Meet the GLOmies
The GLOmies are a group of Shakopee High School students dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities. For over eight years, they've built a culture of inclusion in the classroom — and the Miracle League extends that culture onto the community ballfield.
Many GLOmies will serve as both players and buddies in the Miracle League, creating opportunities for connection that go beyond the school day.
“We were so excited to hear that Shakopee is building a Miracle League field. Inclusion has been a part of life for us at Shakopee High School since the GLOmies program started over eight years ago. The Miracle League will be an extension of the inclusive culture we bring to our school and community. We want everyone to feel welcome and to know they belong, and the new field will give us more opportunities to connect students and friends outside of school. Many of the players in the Miracle League do not get the same opportunities in sports as others do. We want to do everything in our power to make sure these amazing kids experience the fun of sports!”
— Matthew Iverson, GLOmies Physical Education Teacher, Shakopee High SchoolFrom Dream to Diamond

“As the Shakopee Lions and the Shakopee Lions Foundation work to invest in tangible assets that make our community a better place to live, a Miracle Field became the ideal way to ensure that everyone has a place to play and enjoy baseball. We have been fortunate to have such generous donors and to be affiliated with the Lions Club International Foundation, who provided a grant of $100,000 to help turn this dream into a reality.”
— Matt McKeand, President, Shakopee Lions ClubOur Donors
